Unravel culinary gems and stories in an uncharted neighborhood, perfect for intrepid foodies seeking an offbeat experience!
Ditch the familiar and dial up the adventure with a mystery food tour through a lesser-known Dubai neighborhood. Let the planner in you keep guessing—we’ll only drop a location pin 48 hours before the tour.
Enter a simple unpolished neighborhood that doesn’t look like much. Few residents and even fewer tourists would take the 25 minute detour from Dubai mall to reach this area, but if only they knew what you will soon find out on the tour.
You’ll be shown the ropes by a guide who’s not just a local food enthusiast, but a resident of that neighborhood. He knows practically everyone from the tea boys to the Imam of the community mosque. He’ll cherry pick foods not listed on menus (some spots don’t even have one) and reveal insider stories that give life to this offbeat locale.
Sample a style of eggs that’ll change your breakfast game forever. Step into a family-owned Palestinian bakery that’s lost in time, a humble space with an irresistible aroma of fresh baking and rows of sweet and salty treats. Tear apart a rich bread with a bitter herb that no Palestinian home is complete without, but that ironically, Palestinians are banned from picking.
Enjoy the familiar like crisp falafel (ps. these ones might put others to shame), and try the adventurous like a nose-to-tail breakfast (pps. not for the faint-hearted). You’ll pass by tiny neighborhood spice shops, like an aromatic Indian pitstop for high quality cinnamon and milled flours. Finish with a sweet high at the neighborhood Syrian sweet shop that stocks our favourite sandwich cookies, scented cheese rolls and a unique drink that connects Argentina with Syria.
Along the way, we’ll share stories about the food, the culture, and the people who make it. This tour is for those who’re eager to explore the foods and stories of a neighborhood that’s far from the city’s limelight.
Spaces are limited. This tour is a rare chance to see and taste the unseen side of Dubai—join us before it’s gone.
