Saying that 2020 has been a year filled with unexpected challenges would be putting it mildly; a gross understatement of the crazy, apocalyptic stuff that we’ve been through and are still experiencing.
Troubled times like these are tough to endure and we all need something that will calm our frayed nerves and help deal with all the stress that we’ve been put through—we need soup!
But rather than rich, heavy soups that lull us off to sleep, maybe what we need right now are lighter, refreshing, warming soups like a peppery Rasam or tangy Sinigang to dispel the winter chill and comforting noodle soups like, Mami, Sotanghon and Batchoy to energise us for the new year. If that sounds like exactly what the doctor ordered, tune in to the player below and listen to the podcast episode with our guest speaker and food blogger at Dayo Kitchen, Didi Paterno (@dayokitchen) and our GM Farida Ahmed (@faridaa), who’ll help us close out the year with some comforting Indian and Filipino soups to soothe the troubled soul of 2020.
