Back by popular demand from its debut in 2019, this Global Village meet-up is not a standard food tour, but rather an insider’s hangout for our VIP Pass members. We’ve cherrypicked the gems from the gimmicks, a route that’s ripe for the discerning eaters in our VIP circle. Plus, a shared adventure with a like-minded crew means you get to taste more in one evening. There’ll be about 7 to 8 tastings, no one leaves hungry. Global Village is a whole other beast when you’re in good company.
Route Teasers:
- Thai Floating Market: Try mussels and octopus, fresh off the grill and splashed with a mildly spicy but dangerously addictive sauce.
- Japanese Pavilion: Experience a dish so hot, you’ll be juggling it in your mouth. It’s a taste of Japan, requiring patience for that perfect first bite.
- Colombian Stall: Dunk crunchy sugar and chili-dusted plantain chips into vibrant guacamole and sour cream. It’s approved by the Colombians in town.
- Iraqi Pavilion: Sink your teeth into delicate layers of freshly baked phyllo dolloped with thick, buffalo milk clotted cream. This elegant and age-old breakfast/dessert puts the newer viral trends to shame.
- Pakistani Street Food: Let the griddle master show you how much better burgers taste when they’re made with juicy kebabs and dunked into chutney.

- Dietary Considerations: This journey is a shared one (we’ll provide separate tasting bowls so there’s no double dipping). If you’ve got major food restrictions or allergies, especially to things like shellfish, this might not be your cup of tea.
- Kids Welcome: If your kids plan to join the group eating experience, grab them a full ticket. However, if they don’t plan to eat with the group, there’s no need for an extra ticket – just make sure to purchase a Global Village entry ticket for them. You can easily take care of their meals separately.

AED 295 per person.
Tickets are fully refundable until midnight on January 26. After that, refunds won’t be available. If you need to reschedule, you can do so up to 24 hours before the meet-up start time for a 35 AED change fee. Once the event begins, rescheduling tickets to a new experience won’t be possible. Thank you for understanding!

Running Late?
- If you’re running late, just WhatsApp your meet-up host on the number provided in your confirmation email. She’ll share her live location pin. Keep in mind, responses might be delayed once the meet-up starts, but we’ll guide you to join us as soon as possible.
- In case you arrive after the meet-up has begun, please make your way to the group. Our guide might not be reachable by phone during the meet-up, and we appreciate your understanding that latecomers are responsible for catching up with the group. While late arrivals might miss some food and information, rest assured, we’ll do our best to ensure you enjoy the remaining part of the experience.
Is this meet-up vegetarian-friendly?
Unfortunately not. Due to the nature of this shared culinary journey, we are unable to cater to specific dietary restrictions like vegetarianism or allergies to certain ingredients like shellfish.
What's included in the ticket price?
The price includes the food tastings featured by our team and our branded tote bag. Water, soft beverages and additional purchases beyond what is offered by our guide are not included.
Can kids join the meet-up?
Absolutely! If your kids are excited to join in the group eating experience, you can get them a full ticket. However, if they have different dining preferences and you’d like to order separately for them, there’s no need for an extra ticket – just make sure to purchase a Global Village entry ticket for them. You can easily take care of their meals separately. It’s all about making it fun and convenient for the little ones!
